The team was established in 1987 under the leadership of Professor Stephen Ophir Ochla, and the word Orbab means “Son of Nature”.
The team participated in several international, regional and local festivals in Sudan Republic, South Sudan and Egypt. The group has three branches in South Sudan, Khartoum and Egypt. All members of the team are from South Sudan.

أُصلى فى باحة مفتوحة للسماء،
مستقبلاً الشرق فى الفجر والغرب فى الغسق،

ويستقبل الكون كله اصوات تسابيحى
انفتحى أيتها الأرض العظيمة
