Hymn Band of the Syrian Chanter Adnan Al Sasa

SYRIA

He began his artistic career as an amateur when he was 12 along with his brother. Later on he started looking for professors in this field who could teach him. At the beginning, he learnt the art of chanting, hymn and harmony from Professor Tawfeeq Al Halaby. After that, he enrolled in the musical institute where he learnt from the Great Professor Said Kotb and he was taught the art of performance from Professor Haitham.

In 2005 he participated with his brother Abd El Rahman in the establishment of Ebad Al Rahman Band (in Syria) which was officially registered at the Ministry of Endowments.

The band’s activities outside Syria include:

-Holding several concerts in neighboring countries (Jordan-Lebanon)

-Professor Adnan performed at a concert in Bibliotheca Alexandrina in 2007.

The band stopped performing in 2012 due to  current events and Professor Adnan moved to Egypt in mid-2012 where he established a Hymn Band which became popular and performed several concerts in addition to appearing on several private and public TV channels the most important of which are (Rotana Masrya – Al Nas – Cairo’s Channels 1 and 3 – Azhary – CBC).

The band performed for three consecutive years at the Opera House Theatre in the Poetic Evening of the Great Poet Ahmed Taymour where the sang some of his Poetry.
