The Traditional Cart

In 1979, I started my field trip in the Egyptian market and festivity fields, which lasted for years until I came to the idea of designing a traditional cart, a mobile theater inspired by the forms of peddlers in the Egyptian markets, combining the arts of folklore (Araguz – Khayal Aldhell- Sandouq Aldunia) in one theater where these forms combine to provide a different creative vision, an attempt to take the theater to the Egyptian street to be closer to the people and their dreams.
The Traditional Cart has made special performances in fields, gardens and villages of Egypt and is now preparing to present its performances in the different governorates of Egypt and the historic Cairo streets under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and in cooperation with Howar Foundation for the Arts of Peoples› Cultures..
