Kaifeng Pangu Drum Art Troupe


Since its foundation, Kaifeng Pangu Drum Art Troupe has been invited and performed in many national major occasions, such as Hong Kong and Macao’s return, the opening ceremony of Kunming World Expo, the celebration of the 50th National Day at Tian’anmen Square, and 2011 Shanghai World Expo etc. Over the years, the troupe has been awarded many national and international prizes, including 9 gold medals of National Folk Flower Fair, 4 gold medals of International Yangko Festival, and several gold medals of National Square Dancing Competition and National Drum Dancing Competition. In 2008, it was listed on the second group of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage. In addition, Kaifeng Pangu Drum Art Troupe competed in the 9th National Folk Drum Dancing & Drum Music Competition in 2009 and won the “Sange Award”, the highest award of Chinese fork art.
