     Lygkistes was established in Florina in 1995 with the objectives to study and preserve Greek traditional culture – as expressed primarily through dance, music, and costumes – and to disseminate these traditions to the younger generations.  Our association has approximately 400 members, ranging from 5 to 75 years of age.

    Lygkistes performs at many dance and cultural festivals in Athens and throughout Greece.  We participated in the 2004 opening ceremonies of the 2004 Olympics.

    In addition to activities in Greece, every year Lygkistes hosts an international seminar of Greek Traditional Dance in Prespas for teachers and students of dance and ethnography.  Participants have come from all over Europe, North and South America, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, South Africa, the Ukraine, and India to learn dances from teachers

    Harubee cannot be talked about without mentioning the cultural relevance of the group. The art of bodu beru is one of the most representative facets of Dhivehi culture. Many of the songs circulating around the bodu beru scene are so old.

    Harubee has performed in international festivals in different countries 15 times. From the video profile of harubee in youtube can see the countries harubee have performed. The group is currently recording an album, pushing the progression further with their new songs. A major challenge will be to translate their unique personality into recorded form. Unused to the restraint and the set structure of the studio environment, Harubee has to overcome these constraints and find the best way to pack their brand of improvisation and spontaneity into an aural experience.

    Artsap  Dance ensemble was established in 2012 in two cities at the same time; in Yerevan city; the capital of the Republic of Armenia and in Abovyan city, the administrative center of Kotayk Province of the Republic of Armenia. 200 young people dance in the dance school.  The dance ensemble took part in different festivals in Kobuleti, Georgia and in different countries of the world during the last 5years.  Since 2014 the ensemble has been the member of the Dance Figures Union after Vanush Khanamiryan of Armenia. The repertoire of the ensemble includes Armenian folk dances, classical dances and dances of different nations of the world.

    The main choreographer and the artistic director of the ensemble is Edgar Karapetyan.

    The Sarytaukum folk song and dance ensemble was created in 1979 by members of the amateur group at the culture House of Akshi village of the former Kurt district of Almaty region. The first artistic director is Naurizbai Mukaramov. In 1981 Vladimir Pitersev influenced the first ensemble’s business trip to Germany. From 1983 to 2011 Kalnyaz Zhanzhigitov defended the people’s title under the leadership of Kerimbekov Nurlan in 2001, headed by Zhaslan Ramazan in 2014-2017 and Tolen Kayirgazy from 2017 to 2018. Today, Tursyn Smakov is supervising of ensemble.

    Shebre, has about 45 performers who made up the membership and has performed in Festivals and many Ceremonies both home and abroad, for instants, Israel, Cyprus, South Korea,Chile, Peru, Turkey, Egypt, Nigeria, Benin, Togo, South Africa, Ivory Coast and Cameroon.

    Shebre Musical and Dance Group, has done over 100 shows in Ghana and all those destinations mentioned above.  We aim to portray African tradition to the World through music and dance, which is our Destiny, and to tap and develop the talents of young people as an employment for them.

    The band was established in the Indonesian capital Jakarta in 2003 by Nur Akhiari to comprise a large number of students interested in traditional arts and music.  At the beginning, the band only performed religious songs. Owing to its great success after moving to Cairo and joining the groups performing at Kubbet Al-Ghouri under the management of Entissar Abdel-Fattah, the group started to present all types of Indonesian heritage. The band’s uniqueness lies in its performance of music using human vocals instead of instruments and for singing in Arabic and English as well through Acapella type of music.

Motivés par un souci de structuration et d›organisation dans r›environnement ifficile où les jeunes cherchent à s›en sortir, eux ont choisi les arts et la culture pours entreprendre à s›insérer dans la vie professionnelle. Après plusieurs initiatives et plusieurs collaborations, et face à l›inexistence d›une manifestation digne de ce nom dans leur environnement immédiat, ils ont décidé de mettre en place le « Festival NIUN AK YEEN, pour mettre en valeur leurs potentialités culturelles, les artistes du groupe, mais aussi tous les artistes de la localité et offrir un cadre d›expression et de diffusion culturel pour le quartier de Fass. Jeunes, sérieux, et engagés, ils ont pu grace à ce potentiel et malgré la jeunesse de leur groupe, représenter le Sénégal à des manifestations internationales, en Egypte et en Afrique du Sud. Ils ont initié plusieurs activités pour rassembler les jeunes dans un souci de partoge de savoir-faire et d›expériences et pour raffermir les liens 9 entre les habitants du quartier.

    Utiliser les instruments anciens ne signifie pas s›enkyster dans le traditionnel par les rythmes et les danses. Le groupe est ouvert à tous les courants musicaux qu›il peut exploiter avec ses instruments de prédilection.

    Le groupe Nsango Mbonda est constitué de jeunes artistes percussionnistes talentueux, interprètes et créateurs de rythmes et danses.

    Avec ses quatre spectacles déjà créés, basés tantôt sur les percussions -«  Nsango » et « Lokito » - tantôt sur le chant et la danse - « Kinsaki » et « Nkota » - le groupe sillonne le territoire national et affronte les scènes internationales sans complexe.

The majority of the people of Bundel Khand believe in Goddess Sheetala at the time of calamities, such as: flood, sickness, at the commencement of new ventures, and so on. Also, on occasions like: marriage or birth. They beseech the goddess for the sudden relief and recovery and for her help and blessing. If their prayer is granted or wish fulfilled, they go to Goddess Sheetal and tune in the rhythm of the folk musical instrument and they perform various steps, this particular rhythm is also called «Badhai».

    The band was founded by artist Mahmoud Reda jointly with artist Ali Reda, and artist Farida Fahmy, and the band presented its first performances on the Uzbek theater in August 1959, and Mahmoud Reda designed the band’s dances which are inspired by the countryside’s arts, coastal arts and wilderness arts, and has to direct them under the supervision of Dr. Hassan Fahmi. In 1961, a republican decree was issued to include the band in the Ministry of Culture, which made the band belong to the country. The band moved between theaters and many places, most recently the balloon theater. The band toured the world, and took the first place in most international forums and festivals, which was attended by most of the kings and presidents, and presented about more than 3,000 performances in Egypt and the world on the world›s largest theaters, including: The United Nations Theater in New York and Geneva, the Olympia Theater in Paris, the Albert Hall Theater in London, the Beethoven Theater in Bonn, the Stanslavsky Theater in the Soviet Union. It has also acquired numerous international awards and major international participations. The band has starred in a number of movies, including: Half-Year Vacation, Love in Karnak, Paper thief, Second Man.

    It is considered one of the most important and oldest folk arts teams in Egypt. The date of its creation was established in 1960 by a decision by the Minister of Culture at the time. The aim of establishing the band was to root all popular dances, including customs and traditions. The band performed in more than 100 countries, and contributed with its calibers in support and establishment of more than 80 folklore groups in the provinces of Egypt. It participated in dozens of festivals and events outside of Egypt, including the International Tourism Festival in Spain, the Dakar Folklore Festival in Senegal, the Damascus Theater Festival in Syria, the Spring Festival in Iraq, the Conference of Kings and Presidents of African Countries in Addis Ababa, the Arab Festival in Tetungen in Germany, the Walt Disney Festival in America, South Korea, Sicily Festival in Italy, UAE. The group has won dozens of awards in several international festivals. The band has recently been keen to write down its artistic heritage and has established an artistic library with tapes for its popular music performances collected from the regions, documentaries, images, and a huge archive for publicity and publications for its performances inside and outside Egypt.

It was founded in 2014 by Dr. Raji El-Mokdam, a piano teacher at the Faculty of Specific Education at Port Said University. It is composed of 25 musicians from the ages of 6 to 14 years and plays different types of traditional oriental and international music. Participated in many competitions and festivals at the level of the Republic, it won the first place for two consecutive years 2017 and 2018 in an Egyptian Treasures’ competition organized by the Central Department of Pioneers at the Ministry of Youth. The band organized the first festival of Egyptian children›s music in September 2017 in Kizadania. It held a concert at Sawy Culturewheel in August 2018 at the River Hall. The band participated in a national celebration with parachutes units in the presence of the Minister of Youth and Sports and the Egyptian army lead figures.

    In 1962, President Gamal Abdel Nasser brought in Russian experts to establish the first circus school. He then took advantage of these experts to establish a modern national circus. It opened in 1966 with the first circus show from Abdeen Palace, which is the current national circus in the Agouza region. Egypt was a pioneer among the Arab countries for years and they were eager for the circus’s tours. Before the revolution of July 23, 1952 there were two famous families in Egypt, two pioneers in this area, Al helou that belongs to the artist Mohamed Helou. The Al Helou Circus was founded in 1889 by Mohamed Ali El Helou, who tried to benefit from the foreign teams that were performing in the era of Khedive Ismail. The second family is the Akef family, which belonged to the artist Naima Akef, who used to walk the rope and play the acrobat before shifting to acting in the 1950s. Ismael Akef established Akef Circus in Tanta Governorate, where he worked as a gymnastics instructor at the police academy. Since the circus was established, he has been performing continuously due to the importance of his art.

    In 1979, I started my field trip in the Egyptian market and festivity fields, which lasted for years until I came to the idea of ​​designing a traditional cart, a mobile theater inspired by the forms of peddlers in the Egyptian markets, combining the arts of folklore (Araguz – Khayal Aldhell- Sandouq Aldunia) in one theater where these forms combine to provide a different creative vision, an attempt to take the theater to the Egyptian street to be closer to the people and their dreams.

    The Traditional Cart has made special performances in fields, gardens and villages of Egypt and is now preparing to present its performances in the different governorates of Egypt and the historic Cairo streets under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and in cooperation with Howar Foundation for the Arts of Peoples› Cultures..
